Conquered Gaul, then defied the Senate by leading his army across the Rubicon — making 'crossing the Rubicon' synonymous with a point of no return. (This game is named for that moment.) Named dictator-for-life; 60 senators promptly stabbed him on the Ides of March. We still use his calendar.
